Timesheet Special Cases

Timezone Settings for Reports

  • All time records display in the local timezone of the device running the report.
  • Times are automatically adjusted to that timezone.

Example

  • Crews work across Eastern, Central, and Pacific time zones.
  • A report is run in the Central Time Zone.
  • All times will display in Central Time.

Override the Timezone

Use a timezone override when:

  • You are traveling and need to run reports in your normal timezone.
  • Crews work across different time zones during the report period.

Windows Timezone Settings

  • Update your device timezone settings before running the report.

Daylight Savings Time (DST) Reports

  • Reports spanning a Daylight Savings Time change use the timezone from the report start time.
  • The entire report will follow that timezone.

Example

  • A report starts before a DST change and ends after.
  • The report uses the timezone from the start date.

Duration Calculations

  • If a work time period overlaps the report start or end date:
    • Only the time within the report period is included.

Mileage Calculations

  • If a work time period overlaps the report period:
    • Mileage is included only if the work period’s end time falls within the report period.

Open Timers

  • Active timers that have not been ended are not included in reports.
  • Only completed time entries can be reviewed and approved.
